I don’t know why I keep torturing myself. I go on Instagram and just stare at beautiful food by various bloggers/chefs that post beautiful dishes. Even when I’m eating food and looking at those pictures I get hungry again. Is that bad? I must be hungry right now. ..I think I just heard my stomach growl. Great!
This year is just flying by! September already? Whaaat?!! Slow down there…or maybe hurry up and get us into Fall already. No more humidity. It’s seriously cramping my style. Our congregation met together as we always do on the first Saturday of each month at the Kingdom Hall. I forget each month. In Spanish it was the last Saturday of the month. In English it’s the first. One time I pulled up to The Castillo’s house one month as they were walking the car. They looked at me like, “What is wrong with you foo?” I can’t keep it together but I’m doing better. But normally I’ve been trying to keep the first Saturday of the month to work with someone different on service. Monique and I finally got to work with Brother Brown and his family. We had been looking forward to working with each other for awhile. So it was nice that we finally made arrangements. Brother Brown is awesome. He has this dry sense of humor that will hit you a few minutes later. I love it. He’ll mention something, I’ll think about it, then BAM it hits me and I laugh. The territory that we worked was a little small but just enough for our car group. While riding around I noticed that leaves are falling! Fall you are almost here I can taste it!
Sunday was our assembly. We had the Imitate Jehovah assembly. It was a lovely program. Go to JW.org and check out the program. I won’t ruin anything for you but the part that was helpful was to remain holy. Their were a few things mentioned in the talk that I needed to remember and adjustments to my thinking that I needed to make. Jehovah is always there to keep us in line when we need it. Agustin had the assignment of helping Brother Parks with the cleaning of the dinning room. A good size group of us were eager to help. You should have seen us. There we were going up and down the table aisles after lunch. Spraying disinfectant and wiping tables. We looked like a well orchestrated group. I don’t think the friends that were sitting in the dinning room watching the program on the large TV’s were too thrilled with us getting in the way. But hey, we got to do our job, eh?
Here are a few pictures of the group after the assembly doing some deeper cleaning of the lunch room.
Sorry their aren’t more creative pictures this post. I really wanted to go outside during lunch and take pictures by the pond and the friends. But I just wasn’t feeling well. I came down with an infection I believe. I woke up Sunday morning with some serious congestion. I was disappointed cause I went to bed early the night before to wake up early to get some weightlifting in before getting ready for the assembly. I had been using my inhaler and one time used the nebulizer to open my lungs fully. It was hard on the way back home. It’s about 90 mins from the Assembly Hall. As soon as I got home I went upstairs to give myself a breathing treatment. Right when I finished I got serious chills and got myself into bed. Monique came into check on me. She’s so helpful. She went downstairs and brought up my food from cookout and drink. (yes, it’s not Paleo but I’m sick and really needed to eat something at this point). She brought up some aspirin to help with my fever. Some tissues and a big Mexican blanket and tucked me in. I don’t always get spoiled like this but times like these I’m grateful that I have a loving family.
I’m feeling so much better today. I can breathe like a regular person, now that my congestion has mostly cleared up. I spent most of Monday with Monique on the couch eating more junk food and Netflix. Even catching up on the latest broadcast for this month. Go check it out!
